A real sweet item. We use these on our trucks. Tailgate fits very well. Can use on all FJ40's to replace the rusted out 1/2 doors to 1974 and still retain hard top, or when removing hard tops on 75 and up. Stainless hinges and locks are very strong. Drop cables on each corner. Has storage area on inside large enough for 30 drink cans, map, tools, jack parts, spare ammo....we found it a safe place to hide our camping pistols when leaving the truck to buy supplies, etc. 3.5" thick.

ALUMINUM 1/2 DOORS
We have been using these 1/2 doors on our safari trucks in the Dominican Republic for several years. They hold up very well to tree branches and abuse... much better than vinyl. One of our safari cruisers was actually attacked by a bull and had little damage to door. Stainless steel latch.

ALUMINUM HEADER REPAIR PANEL
The rear header repair panel is a new addition to our aluminum line. For some time there has been a need for an economical "fix" to the rusty and rotted rear body section just under the rear doors on the 75-83 FJ40. In the past you had to totally cut the section out and weld in a new header, or fiberglass and bondo the area until next season. The new aluminum repair header is the answer. Simply prepare the area under the doors, cut out the area for the door catch and rivet the new aluminum header onto your body. Once painted, it looks factory.

When placing your order for the aluminum body you have the option to have a rear storage box made into the rear section of the bodies floor board area. A totally secure locking box hidden from view. Cover with a floor mat or carpet.Plenty big ,
33"x16" wide by 10" deep. Don't overlook this option if you hunt or fish or just need a safe place to hide valuables. Aluminum. ( For body 78 and earlier, will fit 79-up if muffler relocated).
