TPI offers the 2.5" suspension for the FJ40 in two styles.
Kit #1 uses Dakar springs with all Old Man Emu components such as greasable anti-reverse cam shackles, greasable frame pins, and Old Man Emu shocks.
Kit #2 uses Dakar springs with TPI Smoky Mountain components such as anti-reverse triangle shackles, greasable frame pins and black diamond shocks.
Both kits offer the same top quality Dakar springs but you have the choice of using all Old Man Emu components or selecting TPI Smoky Mountain components for the more cost conscious customers.

TPI shackles use triangle side plates with a cross bar to stop shackle reverse. Also side plates cover the spring bushings better to reduce bushing damage and dirt from entering bushing grease. |
